Bubbalicious brunch @ Westin Kuala Lumpur

A leisure brunch is a great way to spend Sundays as you indulge in great food while catching up with family or friends.

I recently tried a "Bubbalicious" champagne brunch at Westin Kuala Lumpur’s award-winning Italian restaurant Prego.

Bubbalicious is a Westin inspired branded brunch concept featured in over 5 different Westins throughout Asia Pacific. At Prego, it was launched on July 15, 2012.

As you reach Westin Kuala Lumpur, you will be welcomed by Bubbalicious’ own signature bubble girls in the lobby. Grab a bubble inspired welcome drink before heading into the world of Bubbalicious in Prego.

Unlike a hurried breakfast or lunch on workdays, diners can indulge in a leisure brunch while chit-chatting.

The Bubbalicious Brunch spread is a culinary adventure waiting to be discovered. Choose from a mix of popular Italian-style breakfast and lunch items and old Prego classics.

To start, take your pick from a myriad of salads, cold cuts, freshly shucked oysters and soups.An array of  culinary delights will be delivered to your table such as freshly made pizzas, pastas and barbecued items.

Take your pick from sausages, Roasted Whole Lamb on the Spit, Flaming Prawns, Charcoal Grilled Lamb Chops, and Grilled Sirloin.

Prego servers go from one table to another to serve hot dishes and pasta.

One of the yummiest mushroom risotto I have ever tasted. No, I'm not exaggerating.

I love the grilled fish. The texture is just right, not too fatty nor flaky; and I love the pine nuts!

Then my favourite part---desserts!

As you know I'm have a sweet tooth and when I saw the array of desserts that spanned two tables (not counting the ice-cream section)

Check out the Dessert Bubble Spoon Wall for yoghurt and raspberry bubbles, crème brulee and cointreau bubbles, jelly bubbles, popping chocolate bubbles and other delightful flavored ‘bubbles’.

Personally, the ice-cream was the highlight of the brunch. They make their own flavoured cones! It comes in chocolate, mango, and strawberry.

The mouth-watering ice-cream selection. I appreciate places where they make their own ice-cream.

Needless to say, I went on a sugar rush. Check out my own creation, I call it Gummy Bears Stuck in Ice-cream (ok, I know it's not a creative name)

Souffle

The souffle is divine! The combination of rich chocolate and vanilla ice-cream is a match made in heaven. I would have gone for seconds if not for the filing chocolate. (*it's served when most of the crowd are having/ ready for dessert)

Kids are not left out from all the fun.The new Bubbalicious kids’ club area at the lower lobby ensures that the little ones are entertained while mom and dad enjoy a leisurely meal.
Set in a different theme every Sunday and manned by trained nannies, parents can indulge in the brunch with a peaceful mind.
The Kids club area is meant for kids aged 6 and below. Kids who dine with their parents for Bubbalicious has  free access to kids area
A variety of activities have been designed to keep the little ones busy. The kids have a whole world of their own, located at the lower lobby. A buffet selection just for kids will be on offer and there is even a make-your-own-milkshake station where the young ones can have a go at being creative.
