Japanese food, retail, arts and culture await shoppers; as well as an exciting line-up of festivities, giveaways, opening specials such as traditional Japanese dance performances, origami workshops, gaming and board game sessions, Cosplayer meet & greet, Japanese shrine blessing culture introduction, Omamori Origami (Lucky Charms) Giveaways and more!
This new Japanese precinct welcomes shoppers with its grand and authentic Japanese architecture and interior design and an exciting tenant mix that blends traditional and contemporary Japanese experiences.
Be transported instantly to the land of the rising sun with two larger-than-life artistic Sumo Sculptures greeting shoppers at the entrance of Tokyo Town.
The sense of Tokyo is also embodied in the precinct’s design and layout where a grand floating temple roof inspired and designed with ‘kirizuma-zukuri’ or gable roof style – the basic architectural style in ancient Japan, enhanced by giant Japanese umbrellas or ‘Wagasa’ designed by renowned Japanese artist Kotaro Nishibori, fifth generation successor of Hiyoshiya, a maker of ‘Kyo-wagasa’ (Kyoto-style traditional umbrella).
Spanning over 77,000 sqft, Tokyo Town presents a cutting edge yet tranquil setting for the best and most popular in Japan’s retail offerings. From Nakamise lots to specialty stores, shoppers can find a rich selection of Japanese food, retail, arts and culture.
The symbolic and grand Torii Gate welcomes shoppers to the "Nakamise" (shopping street) – featuring unique and cultural decorations ahead such as chochin or Japanese traditional lanterns, beautiful Sakura trees adorned with tanabata wishes and carp streamers as well as a grand and gorgeous Kimono Art Tapestry on exhibit which transports visitors directly to the heart of Japan.
