I just can't get enough of the scrumptious creations by pastry chef Shan Balakrishnan and his team at the dessert corner at Feast in Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel.

I love it when the chef is enthusiastic about his creations and Shan sure is as he takes me through the sweet concoctions.

The chef takes dessert-making seriously, no expense was spared in creating the exquisite spread.

More than 10 types of chocolate were used, including valrhona chocolate. As a chocolate fan, that was music to my ears.

At Sheraton’s signature all-day dining restaurant Feast, a Christmas-themed dinner buffet will be served in Feast daily, 6pm-11pm, from December 17 to 30 at the price of RM118nett per adult and RM59nett for children (five to 11-years-old).

Among the delicious selections that will be served during this period are Chicken and Prune Roulade with Herb Gravy, Braised Lamb Shank with Polenta, Smoked Duck Breast, Smoked Beef Steak with Salsa Verde, Herb Crusted Breast of Chicken with Jus, Gratin Oyster with Garlic Butter and Cheese, Seared Burger Steak with Onion Sauce, Pan-fried Seabass with Grape Butter Cream.

The reddish Beetroot Cured Smoked Salmon caught my eye, executive chef Tan Tik San said he chose beetroot as the sweetness goes well with the salmon and it adds colour to the dish.

The traditional roasted rib eye (RM338) and Roast Turkey (RM368) accompanied with Giblet & Cranberry sauce, chestnut stuffing, buttered vegetables and sweet potatoes that is also made available for delivery services within Klang Valley area.

Feast’s operation hours is 6pm until 11pm and it remains the same for Christmas season.

On the eve or Christmas, dining options include heading to Feast for a dinner buffet of RM168nett per adult on eve and RM148nett for Christmas brunch and RM138nett for Christmas dinner; Miyabi with dinner buffet at RM190nett per adult or RM200 on Christmas day with one glass of wine; or even enjoy the Chinese set in Yue for 6 course meal at RM168nett.

On New Year’s Eve, catch the fireworks from with your friends at our rooftop bar Sala for an unobstructed view of the city centre and upbeat music from the spinning disc of the DJ or opt for a quieter and intimate countdown in the club lounge and cigar bar Chime for a more comfortable and cosy celebration. These areas are open with cover charges that includes one drink or if you come in a party and beverage package fits the requirement even better.
