20th Anniversary Theme: “Be the Seam That Connects the World”
The Japan Fashion Week Organization (JFWO), originally established as the Fashion Strategy Forum in 2005, marked its 20th anniversary during the 2026 Spring/Summer season last September.
The upcoming 2026 Autumn/Winter season represents the second half of this milestone year and continues its forward-looking vision under the annual theme:
“Be the Seam That Connects the World.”
On Monday, January 5, a new commemorative logo was unveiled to mark the 20th anniversary of Japan Fashion Week. Replacing the previous emblem that symbolized the event’s two-decade history, the new logo reflects JFWO’s aspirations for the continued growth and global expansion of Japan’s fashion industry.
Looking ahead, JFWO aims to expand beyond its existing framework by:
-
Advancing the official announcement of designer shows
-
Strengthening international dissemination of information
-
Supporting brands that stage shows outside the official event period
-
Contributing more broadly to the development of Japan’s textile industry
