Guess the song

I fell asleep while listening to the radio and dreamed that I went to learn  Gayageum. I think it's because there was a commercial about Korean traditional music on the radio.
Speaking of  , I suddenly remember a song I used to play, here it is:

Can you guess what song is this?

Jeju Island: An Island of Sky and Sea

Jeju Island: An Island of Sky and Sea
I recently received this gift---a guidebook about Jeju Island!
I have yet to visit this island, a beautiful one at that, judging from the photos in the book.
Unlike some K-drama fans (who would love to visit the film sites), the thought of visiting Jeju never occurred as it seems expensive to get there.
However, listening to Wonders of Jeju and reading this book has increased my interest in visiting the island.
There is so much that I would like to see: the Olle-gil, Samyang Black Sand Beach, Dolhareubang Park, etc.
It seems like one could not see all the attractions even if you stay there for a month.
And the Jeju dialect sounds so interesting.
Anyone has any suggestions on how to get there? Are there direct flights there? Or how to get there from Seoul?

Kim Hyung-jun 김형준 exclusive interview

(blast from the past: Interviewed in November 2011)

Fans of South Korean singer-actor Kim Hyung-jun, of boyband SS501 fame, was in town for the Malaysia Model Festival Awards 2012 in Putrajaya Marriott Hotel & Spa as a special guest.
Check out the exclusive interview with Kim:
The last time Kim came to Malaysia was with SS501, of which he was the youngest member.
“This is my first time solo. I feel lonely without the other members but at the same time, it feels like visiting my hometown,” he said.
Speaking of Malaysia, Kim confessed that he loved spicy food, especially chilli crabs, which he would indulge in whenever he was in the region.
His Achilles’ heel is the durian.
Kim prefers summer as he loves swimming and has been swimming in the hotels he stays.
He also revealed that he would be shooting a sports-themed drama, so there would be scenes of him topless.
“I have done shower scenes, but as this is a sports drama, I have to be fit so I am now spending two hours in the gym every day,” he said through an interpreter.
The multi-talented star wears many hats as emcee, singer and actor but currently, he enjoys acting in dramas and movies the most.
He won the Rising Star Award at the K-Drama Star Awards in Daejeon, South Korea.
“It was the first award I got since I started acting. This award is a boost to my confidence and gives me the energy to do better,” he said.
Asked if he could converse in Japanese, having spent 80% of last year there, the 25-year-old modestly said he could only speak a little of the language. But that does not stop Japanese fans from going ga-ga over him.
He performed in six cities during his Japan Tour in 2012, following the launch of his mini-album Escape in July, which includes the song Sorry I’m Sorry, which has both Korean and Japanese versions.
He plans to spend more time in his native country South Korea and focus on his acting.
Kim has also acted in the musical Cafe In and he said fans could look forward to a new album from him in August.
Even though it was not a meet-the-fans session, many showed up in the hope of catching a glimpse of their idol or even a chance to take photos with him.
Kim immediately excused himself after the awards ended and fans were told that he was not feeling well.
However, the dashing star later returned to the hall to pose for photos with fans.
That night, he also took a photo with renowned Malaysian designer Datuk Jimmy Choo, who was also a guest at the event, and posted the photo on his Twitter account.

What: AIA K-POP 2013 concert
Who: Beast, 4Minute and G.NA
Where: Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
When: June 27

Popular Korean acts Beast, 4Minute and G.NA were in town recently and I was lucky enough to score front row seats to the concert!
Themed “Be real. Love it. Live it.”, the event was the first ever concert sponsored by a life insurer in the country.
The concert was attended by over 12,000 AIA Malaysia employees, agency members, customers, business partners, media as well as K-pop fans.
Korean-Canadian singer G.NA kick-started the concert with Supa Solo and turned up the heat with 2Hot. The leggy beauty also performed First Kiss, Banana, Top Girl, Black and White, and covers of Rihanna’s Take a Bow and Rude Boy.
She has beautiful, long, healthy legs! She was also the only performer that night to speak in English (the others had the help of an interpreter).

Next were performances by the five member girl group 4Minute comprising Ji-hyun, Ga-yoon, Ji-yoon, Hyun-a and So-hyun. Clad in colourful outfits, the girls charmed the audience with their cute antics and energetic dance moves.
It was no surprise that started their performance with their latest title track What’s Your Name. The song from the mini-album “Name is 4Minute” clinched the No. 1 spot on various charts, including Billboard K-POP Hot 100. Among the songs they performed were Heart to Heart, Muzik, Hot Issue, and Huh.

The final act Beast elicited deafening screams from their fans as soon as they appeared on stage. The six-member boy group, which debuted in 2009, consists of Doo-joon, Hyunseung, Junhyung, Yoseob, Gikwang, and Dongwoon.

They performed hit songs such as Bad Girl, Shock, Fiction, Beautiful Night, Special, Freeze and Beautiful.
If you can’t get enough of the lads, fret not because following their their “Beautiful Show” international tour last year, they are planning a comeback this month (July) with a new album.
