Nutz N Boltz @ Desa Park City

Nutz N Boltz

Looking for a place to suit different tastes and dietary needs is not an easy task.
At Nutz N Boltz, restaurant owner Ad Lincoln Wilson aims to provide a casual social dining venue that caters to different needs.
The Asian Western fusion menu features around 100 items for diners of all ages, including vegetarian options, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Just like its namesake, the restaurant hopes to be a place for people to connect just like nuts and bolts.
“The restaurant name signifies the interconnection between people and family and friends coming together.
“I believe that a family that eats together, stays together,” he said.
The place also welcomes furkids too!
With 25 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, he believes that not one should be left out.
“Sometimes when people eat out, they leave their young children or rlderly parents at home, thinking it may not be a suitable place for them.
“That is why we want to provide something for everyone, including the elderly and young children,” he said, adding that there are many customers come with children or bring along their dogs during the weekends.
Following its success in Puchong, he decided to open another outlet here in Desa Park City and plans to off franchise license for Nutz N Boltz on the second half of the year.
“It is a safe environment where children can play around
“During Christmas parties where people are drinking and dining, we have a corner where kids are taken care of so parents can enjoy themselves,” he said.
Lincoln is also involved with the design of the restaurant.
The garage concept features recycled materials such as pallets, pipes and barrels.
While waiting for the food to arrive, we quench our thirst with the refreshing Apple Mint Cooler (RM18). The mix of lime, asam boi syrup, apple juice and mint leaves provide just the right amount of sweet and sour flavours.
The Channa Tikka Salad (RM21) is the owner’s own creation, made using spinach, chickpeas, cashew nuts, feta cheese, chicken tikka and mango chutney with a hint of mint. The ingredients used creates a harmonious blend of tastes and textures.
“It may be a salad but it could be a meal itself. It is something different than your usual choices of salad like caesar,” he said.
The Satay Mix Pizza (RM26), topped with beef and chicken satay, peanut sauce and cucumber, provides a Malaysian twist. The different ingredients go well together, surely something to try if you want something other than your usual styles of pizza.
I have to confess, I rarely go for mutton or lamb because the ones I’ve tried elsewhere have a gamey taste and tough texture. However, the ones served during the review were tender and devoid of any gaminess.
Another option for sharing is the Mutton Masala Pizza (RM30).
The flavourful Devilled Curry Mutton Fried Rice (RM27) had us going for seconds and thirds.
Sizzling Lamb Rack (RM49) is prepared Asian style, the tender meat was easy to cut through.
The Lamb Shank Madrasi (RM39) is cooked with curry, yoghurt, masala, served with pulao rice. The curry was perfect for someone like me who has a low threshold for spiciness and it went well with rice.
“Lamb shank is usually done western style but here we prepared it Indian style,” he said.
Mutton Soup (RM20), served with chilli garlic bread, is a comfort food that hits the spot.
Apricot Glazed Salmon (RM40) is popular among customers and it was no wonder why; the salsa complements the pan-fried salmon glazed with homemade apricot sauce.
Another seafood option is the Fish burger (RM26) made using homemade sea bass patty.
“We use barramundi it is of a better quality. My kids eat here every weekend, if I’m going to feed my kids here, it should be a safe menu for all my customers as well,” he said.
As a dessert lover, I thoroughly enjoyed the Chocolate Brownie and Homemade Tiramisu, (both RM19).
Sago Gula Melaka (RM25) may be a simple dessert but the shot of Baileys enhanced its flavours.
The restaurant could fit up to 200 pax and is also a venue for events and celebrations.
