2018 Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian (TOYM) Awards

Six young Malaysians were selected for the 2018 Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian (TOYM) Awards.
While the awards is known as TOYM, the organiser said only those who meet the criteria were selected, hence only six made the cut this year.
Winners list:
Academic Leadership and/or Accomplishment: Dr Rebecca Wong Shin Yee
Cultural Achievement: Lim Yee Chung
Personal Improvement and/or Accomplishment: Prof Dr Edmund Heng Guan Boon
Contribution to Children, World Peace, and/or Human Rights: Dr Lo Nyok Mooi
Scientific and/or Technological Development: Dr Darren Tan Kok Pin
Business, Economic, and/or Entrepreneurial Accomplishment: Ben Eng Kok Chuang



It was a two-in-one Christmas and birthday present for Malaysian singer Rynn Lim Yee Chung, who received the award under the Cultural Achievement category.
“I will turn 40 soon. This is the best Christmas and birthday present ever,” he said, and thanked those who have helped him along the way, including current
and former working partners, family, friends and fans.
The multitalented singer-songwriter-actor also performed two songs after receiving his award.
